Various traditions
You have done your best, and you still feel like an imposter in your own world. People tell you that you are doing well, and you don't believe it as much as they do. You are wanting something more, and you feel stuck.
The first step is acknowledging the grief of your situation, and working to make peace with yourself.
You've gotten as far as you feel comfortable at this time, and the end of this trail is approaching. You need to take another path, and you aren't sure what the next steps might be.
Whether it's a job, a relationship, having or launching children, or some other life stage transition, it helps to know that these are both challenging and normal.
You've given from yourself, and it felt like you were able to manage it. Until you couldn't anymore. You are tired but having trouble sleeping, you aren't hungry but you're gaining weight, and you don't care about the situations around you like you used to.
You know that you can't fill another's cup if yours is empty. You want to feel like you again.
You are insightful though tired, motivated yet stuck. Person-centered, motivational therapy can help you reassess what is going well, and what needs to change.
Adverse childhood experiences and more recent traumas impact what you are able to do. I use a trauma-informed approach that supports clients to begin with safety, and then move to change.
